Starting off

I've always felt space marines were a bit too ostentatious for their own good. Veterans of hundreds of years of combat, along with some of the finest tactical minds in the galaxy stride headlong in to battle ignoring danger and wearing bright easily visible armor(and don't even get me started on not wearing helmets). I wanted to find a marines army that felt a bit more like a real military and less like a monestary of warrior knights riding in to battle.

So after a long search I came across The Raptors Chapter.
To quote Lexicanum:

"The Raptors are a Successor Chapter of the Raven Guard created in the Second Founding. The chapter specializes in jungle warfare, ambush, infiltration and sabotage"
And from the 40k wikia:

"The Raptors are also known to actively embrace unorthodox tactics and actively seek unique solutions such as warzone specific camouflage patterns, infiltration, complex manoeuvre, guerrilla warfare and the use of ad hoc scratch units to fulfill particular missions."

With my research done I began working out a list of necessary models:

Between 30-40 scouts,
5 Scout bikes
Landspeeder Storm.

Beyond Scouts, the army will also consist of between 30-40 Tactical marines
20 Sternguard veterans
10 vanguard veterans
3 dreadnoughts
3 vindicators
And however many speeders I can scrounge up.
